[Pakistan – 19th March 2012]: Following the airing of Ufone Uth Records 2.0 fourth episode featuring XXI, the music platform introducesfourth artist, Sara Haider, on the 24thof March 2012.
As an artist, Sara continues to be inspired by the likes of Faiz, Rumi, Ella Fitzgerald, Peggy Lee, Simon & Garfunkle, The Police, Lauryn Hill, Nayyara Noor, Strings, The Beatles, John Mayer, Nazia Hassan, Stevie Nicks, Geeta Dutt, Phoenix, Adele, Imogen heap, and Pakistan’s very own Zeb and Haniya. She is currently working on various musical projects and to this end is collaborating with composer/musician Ahsan Bari as part of Nritaal creating compositions and melodies inspired by the poetry of Hazrat Amir Khusro and Faiz Ahmed Faiz, Her music is unconfined in both melody and lyric yet aficionado’s will undoubtedly detect the evocative strains of Sufi music within it.
At Ufone Uth Records 2.0, Sara Haider will be performing her song ‘Main Tere Saath Hoon‘ which is based on the concept of separation anxiety that canoccur while maintaining relationships. About the lyrics Sara Haider said, “I have kept the lyrics as simple and minimal as possible along with the melody so that they don’t break the laid-back feel of the track, but also so that it remains open to interpretation.” Her support and session musicians for her episode in Ufone Uth Records 2.0 are Bass Guitarist and her brother Ali Haider (Nritaal), Imam Hamdani as the lead guitarist, Louis J “Gumby” Pinto for Percussions, Sameer Ahmed for Bass and Hildegunn Oisethon trumpet.
